The band announce that they will play a benefit concert for The Cancer Awareness Trust following news that friend and former bandmate Andy Taylor had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. The show will take place Aug. 19 at The Guild Theatre in Menlo Park, California.

Duran Duran begin a 31 day Halloween Advent calendar leading up to not only Nick’s favourite Holiday, but the October 27th release of the band’s DANSE MACABRE album. Fans signed up to the band’s Subtext would get a new text every morning; fans outside of the US could also see the daily text on Instagram stories.

The band announce the launch of their own “Astro” lava lamp for Mathmos Originals, inventor of the lava lamp. Every part of the lamp is customized, including signatures of each of the four band members etched into the cap and one of Duran Duran’s early logos into the base. Available to the UK and Europe only in a limited edition of only 600. 

Duran Duran grace the cover of CLASSIC POP magazine with an exclusive full band interview where they reveal all about their Halloween-themed new album Danse Macabre that features covers, reworked songs from their own back catalogue, as well as all-new material.

It’s announced on “The Graham Norton Radio Show” that Duran Duran’s only summer date in the UK will be as headliners of Latitude Festival in Suffolk.

It’s a great festival, and it’s been a long time since Duran have been in that part of the country.  In fact, it’s our first time ever in Suffolk. Originally released in 2000, the album features the single ‘Someone Else Not Me’ and was the last studio album to feature guitarist Warren Cuccurullo. John Taylor was also not in the band at this point.
