Hi there, I watched a programme on ITV with Sir Trevor McDonald regarding the Caribbean. In one of the programmes it featured a visit to Air Studios in Montserrat which is now derelict because of the volcano eruption some years ago. I wondered what the Band remembered about their time on Montserrat in 1983 and their recording sessions there. Sue

"We were only there for a relatively short period of time during the recording of the third album. We were not entirely convinced that the environment was condusive to people focusing on work - beautiful, warm, great food and a swimming pool all added to the distractions. That said, we did carve out the basis for several of the key tracks on the album there, including "The Reflex" and "Union of the Snake." However, the bulk of the work was completed in Sydney, Australia. The Band"
