Hi Katy, This question is for Nick. I am reading a bio on INXS. Producer Nick Launay sights the Yamaha DX 7 synthesizer first produced in 1983 as the most influential instrument of the 80's. He claims that out of the first two of these synthesizers ever produced in Japan literally right off the factory line INXS received the first one and the second one was given to Duran Duran. Any truth to his statement? Thanks. Jan

"No truth I am afraid. I’ve never owned one or ever used a DX 7 on any of our records. I would not deny their influence on every one else’s records - which is precisely why I didn’t want to use one. NR"
