Underworld, put to Rest

Ask Katy

Hi Katy, love this part of the site and the opportunity to get an answer "from the horses mouth" - in this case maybe Nick's very un-horsie mouth. As an avid viewer of (good) vampire films, I was surprised the other day to read somewhere that Nick is an uncredited extra in "Underworld". He is apparently one of the glamorous, lounging, blood-in-a-wineglass sipping residents of vamp central (if he were ever an extra in a film, this sounds extremely plausible). Well I pulled out my DVD and had a look and there IS a blonde personage that could pass for the unearthly Mr. R (though not as devilishly handsome as one might imagine which makes me doubt - maybe there is a wig involved?). I know Nick likes to preserve a certain shroud of mystery, but I'd love to know if this rumor is true... Best wishes, Kate (who detests being called Katherine ;-]

"Dear Kate,

As much as I am intrigued by the premise that I was a visitor in the "Underworld," sadly, I must confess that it is a case of mistaken identity. Should I ever get invited to play a cameo in a Vampire movie, I think I would find it infinitely more appealing that other offers I have declined over the years. Viva the undead! Nick"
