This is a question for John, in the earlier Duran albums like "Rio", your bass lines were quite involved and extensive. Some, like myself, would argue that they are some of the best to come out of the '80s. Is there one particular song that you wish you could redo the bass lines for? If so, which one and why? "That's an interesting question, because i've never considered that before.. i don’t think i've ever been consciously lazy, that at the time of recording i didn't do the best i could do.. perhaps, i remember with "UMF," having a difficult time getting into the groove, and settling for something barely there, that really did nothing to add to proceedings.
