"Hi Marina , The answer is that its never too early to start playing drums , and you don't even need a drum kit. I started at a very early age using books, kitchen pans and anything I could get my hands on before finally getting my first kit at the age of 13. You don't really have to learn another instrument, good drummers are very sought after in their own right as most kids seem to be attracted more towards being the lead singer or guitar player.
