Sitar on Khanada

Katy, This is a question for anyone in the band who might remember...Who plays the sitar on "Khanada?" Is it even a sitar? What about that song (and others throughout the years) led to its being included as a b-side rather than an album track? Thanks, Crispin

THE BAND THINKS IT WAS A SITAR/GUITAR - IT WAS NOT A TRADITIONAL SITAR BY ANY MEANS - WHICH ANDY PLAYED ON THE RECORD. AS WITH ALL THE B SIDES FROM THAT PERIOD, ANY OF THEM COULD HAVE ENDED UP ON AN ALBUM BUT THEY WERE SIMPLY CHOSEN FOR THAT "CELESTIAL" PATH OF B-SIDEDOM.
