Dear Katy: This is for Simon or Nick: For years now many DD fans have wondered & tried to find out more about an Arcadia song entitled 'Blackmail' as it was mentioned in some magazine in the summer of '85. However, I'm convinced that this was nothing more than an early version/working title of what became 'The Promise'. Is this right?? After all, "......blackmail is the only deal a promise dealer sees." Stuart London

NICK CAN CONFIRM THAT IT WAS A WORKING TITLE FOR ONE OF THE TRACKS OFF OF THE ARCADIA CD AND IT DOES NOT EXIST AS AN INDEPENDENT PIECE OF MUSIC. KEEPING IN MIND WHAT YOU SPOTTED IN THE LYRICS, SIMON AND NICK SAY THEY THINK THE PROMISE IS A FAIR BET.
