school daze

Hi Katie: You have a great job and I really enjoy reading all the news. One thing has been driving me crazy, though, and that's your grammar ... especially when your refer to "Duran Duran" or the "band" as a plural entity, when in fact, both are singular in context. For example, it should be "Duran Duaran IS going to release a new album" or "The band HOPES to tour" instead of using are/hope. I know I am being picky, but it happens so much throughout this entire site, not just your part. I also don't know if there are different rules of English grammar between the UK and the US, so please bear with me. I just think this site is SO terrific, and while I realize that the internet is certainly casual, I think anyone who has a GREAT position like yours should try to be as professional as possible. Of course, I love Simon's off-the-cuff answers, and that part should stay that way. It's the "official" presentation that needs some attention.
Oh, I am sooo picky ... but that's why I love Duran Duran, because their music fits my high standards! 🙂 Katie

WHEN YOU SPELL MY NAME CORRECTLY, I WILL WORK ON MY GRAMMAR. OH, AND IN YOUR EXAMPLE, YOU SPELLED DURAN DURAN WRONG.
