Hey Katy! I had a question regarding the blue Tama drum set used during the Astronaut tour. I was wondering what series/finish it is as I’ve been looking to purchase a replica for myself. Duran Duran was my first concert and Roger’s drumming is what got me into the drums! I’ve always wanted a drum set like the one he played, as it was so iconic to me growing up. I now play for John 5 (Motley Crue/Rob Zombie) and Alan Parsons. So I’d also like to thank Roger for inspiring me to pick up the sticks! Best Regards, Alejandro

"Hey Alejandro, Good to hear from you. I seem to recall that it was from the Tama ‘Starclassic’ series , made of Bubinga wood ...which has the most incredible resonance. I also recall that it was actually metallic silver rather than blue (I haven’t owned a blue kit since the very early days) . You could have been fooled by the reflection of the lights , as I remember that this kit reflected the onstage lights beautifully! Rt "
