When I first bought my RIO cassette in 1982, I played it so much that eventually the tape snapped. So, of course, I replaced it, probably in 1983. I distinctly remember "New Religion" on my first cassette being a slower song. When I listened to my replacement cassette, the song had been sped up and rearranged somewhat. Any insight into this? I’d love to hear the original slower version again! Regards, Tina
"Tina, We don’t know what to say, but think your tape machine must have been running at the wrong speed. "New Religion" on the RIO album has only ever been the same version. So if you go and take listen to that now, it will be how it should have sounded on your tape machine in both 1982 and 1983. The Band"
