Do Nick or John know about the book entitled 'Stairway to Nowhere' writtenby Luke Sky, the original vocalist and guitarist of the Brum band Fashion? I mention this because I know that Duran Duran opened for Fashion long, long ago and as a matter of fact in the book, Luke recalls when Nick and John presented the demo of 'Girls on Film' to Fashion for a critique. No, we hadn’t heard of that one yet, but we have fond memories of seeing FASHION in their formative stages in Birmingham. They were a real inspiration at that time. We also remember our show supporting them at Birmingham’s Barbarellas - It turned out to be our last with Stephen Duffy on vocals. Nick
