SWU ANNOUNCES ONE OF THE BIGGEST POP BANDS OF ALL TIMES

After a long absence from the live performance arena, British rock legends, Duran Duran, will return to Brazilian shores on November 13th as part of the SWU Music and Arts Festival. This highly anticipated show will mark the band’s first South American performance in support of their chart topping, critically acclaimed, new album ‘ALL YOU NEED IS NOW’ - which was produced by Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Adele), with participation of Ana Matronic (Scissor Sisters), Kelis and Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire) and released in Brazil earlier this year on Lab 344. Showcasing material from the new record, alongside all of the biggest hits from across their thirty year career, original band members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor will undoubtedly make this one of the most memorable performances of the festival.

The stats on DURAN DURAN are remarkable: a total of over 80 million records sold, 18 American hit singles, 30 UK top 30 tunes, and a global presence which guarantees them huge concert audiences on five continents. More remarkable still is the way they have achieved this, fusing pop music, art and fashion with a unique sense of style and confidence.

SWU stages will bring together, in Paulínia (São Paulo), more than 70 national and international attractions between November 12th and 14th such as: Peter Gabriel, Faith No More, The Black Eyed Peas, Chris Cornell, Snoop Dogg, Damian Marley, Sonic Youth, Megadeth, Michael Franti & Spearhead, 311, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Primus, Miyavi, Down and the DJs Sven Väth, Frankie Knuckles, James Murphy, Afrojack, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, M.A.N.D.Y and Loco Dice.
