Hello John, I love listening to "Red Carpet Massacre" and the title track is the inspiration of this Ask Katy for you: When you wrote the lyric for it, seen it was about fame and red carpet, did you feel in the same way when back in the early 80s you covered David Bowie’s "Fame," which actually was a track about fame as well?? "We've always been pretty clear in our feelings about fame, WE LOVE IT!!... Certainly myself, Simon and Nick, we've never shied away from it. We loved the Bowie song, and so we covered it. Simon has talked at length and in many interviews about where the inspiration for his lyric to "Red Carpet Massacre" came from.. Something he saw on TMZ, or some similar fame channel. JT"
