As we may have mentioned(!), the band are spending the summer in the Studio finishing up their forthcoming album.
Roger was kind enough to take some time to describe the situation behind these two photos, below:
This is me playing my Octobans, laying down some final overdubs on the new album. These drums look like drain pipes and have real notes in them, a full set being tuned between 8 notes, thus the name is a derivative of the word 'octave'. I first took delivery of them whilst working on the 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' album, which is the last DD album to feature these drums. Beyond that, they appeared on 'Wild Boys,' 'Some LIke It Hot' and the Arcadia album...so I thought it was time to dust them down again and introduce them to the year 2010!
