"Yeah parents were pretty supportive, I didn't have to rebel too much against them.. they gave me a year after flunking art school to try and make a career in music work. It wasn't easy for them at that time, my Dad just had taken early retirement. A year doesn't seem like a lot, but boy, at that age, when you are as ambitious as Nick and I were, it was just enough.
