This is for any member of the band who'd like to chime in. There was a post on the message board that the poster came across an old 'Bravo' Interview back in 83/84 and the band saying the next album would be called "Burning Bright". I also remember and have The Book of Words from 83/84 with all the D2 lyrics in it . If you go to the back of the book to discography, you'll see a blacked out square with Burning Bright as the title of an album. But the next album was Arena. Did they skip the studio Burning Bright for Arena or did BB become Arena.?Thanks Christian aka poptrash01
TO THE BANDS MEMORY, THAT TITLE WAS FIRST MENTIONED WHEN DURAN DURAN WERE MAKING THE THIRD ALBUM. ACCORDING TO CERTAIN MEMBERS IT ACTUALLY WOULD HAVE MADE A BETTER TITLE THE ONE THEY EVENTUALLY CHOOSE!
THERE IS A SONG ON THAT ALBUM CALLED TIGER TIGER AND AS YOU ALL KNOW FROM READING ASK KATY, IT WAS TAKEN FROM THE POEM WHICH OPENS WITH THE LINE TIGER TIGER BURNING BRIGHT. THEY DONT REMEMBER EVER HAVING CONSIDERED THE TITLE FOR ARENA.
