Dear Katy, I was wanting to ask Simon about an article I read in an old issue of "Creem".The article said that Simon brought to the band,upon joining,some punkish songs,with titles like"Upon a Dead Child". Is this true,and have these songs been redone to become the more familar tunes I know from the first two albums? Thanks, Tommy

"Well I did come to the band with lots of songs. However "On a Dead Child" wasn't one of them; that's the title of a poem by Richard Middleton from which I took the inspiration for "Missing" As far as other songs go - they do exist like dusty crated artifacts, long forgotten in a gigantic hangar and shall probably remain that way. s"
