New Moon in concert

Hi Katy ..I've written a couple of other times asking this question, I am dying to know the answer. The last time I saw the guys in concert in Massachusetts they played New Moon On Monday and Simon said it was the first time that they were playing it since 1985. I was wondering why they hadn't played it since then.was there some kind of controversy? Thanks, Jennifer in Norton,Ma Ritz John Jen
