dear katy, on the 12" mix of election day there is an instrumental part which starts a few seconds after the lyrics by grace jones. in this part you can hear a male voice speaking german words ("psychologismus ..."). can you please ask nick, what is this about ? thanks peter
HI PETER. THANKS FOR THE QUESTION. GRACE JONES PERFORMED A VOCAL IN THE MIDDLE SECTION OF THE ORIGINAL ALBUM VERSION OF ELECTION DAY. THIS WAS SUBSEQUENTLY CUT UP AND MOVED AROUND FOR ALTERNATE VERSIONS. HOWEVER, THE ONLY MALE VOICES ON THE SONG ARE SIMONS . YOU MAY HAVE HEARD THE BACKWARDS EFFECT ON GRACES VOICE OR PERHAPS A SNIPPET OF SHORTWAVE RADIO WHICH WAS ALSO USED IN THE MIX.
