shake it

Dear Katy,I possess old 12 inches versions from the first duran duran album with scratches made on the black central line between the song and the label. Where these made by duran duran members themself during the pressing of the records? And if so what do the inscriptions "Utopia" and "shake that dotie groove thaaak" mean.
Michael from France

THE MEMBERS OF THE BAND ALWAYS DECIDED WHAT WAS SCRATCHED IN TO THE RUN OFF GROOVE OF THEIR RECORDS BACK THEN. "UTOPIA" WAS A STUDIO IN LONDON WHERE SOME OF THE RECORDINGS WERE MADE. THE OTHER ONE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, DOESN'T IT?

NICK'S PERSONAL FAVORITE IS "IF IT MOVES, FLANGE IT." GOOD QUESTION MICHAEL!
