rum runner barmaid

So it is common knowledge that Simon was introduced to the other members of the band at the Rum Runner through a girlfriend of his that worked there. I have two questions about this. Does Simon remember the name of this girlfriend or know what ever happened to her? And has he ever stopped to think that if her never would have gone out with this girl, he might not have met the band and thus not be sitting where he is at this very minute? Thanks, Corene
