Hello Katy! This is my first time to post and I have to tell you I love the Duran site. My question is this: How close was the band to Princess Di? I know that she attended many of their concerts. And also heard that they performed at the Tribute concert where she is buried. She was a very special lady. Just wondering their thoughts on this tragic matter.

HI KELLIE. I CHECKED IN WITH NICK ON THIS ONE... THE GUYS DID NOT KNOW DIANA THAT WELL,HOWEVER THEY DID MEET HER MANY TIMES AT EVENTS IN LONDON, SOME OF WHICH THEY PERFORMED AT. THEY WERE VERY FOND OF HER AND ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP WITH CHARITY PROJECTS WHEN ASKED. PRINCESS DIANA WAS A MUCH LOVED FIGURE IN BRITAIN AND THE REST OF THE WORLD. THE BAND WERE EXTREMELY SAD WHEN SHE DIED, ESPECIALLY HAVING HAD THE PLEASURE TO SPEND A LITTLE TIME WITH HER.
