formal training

Ask Katy

It is my understanding that Nick is, essentially, a self-trained/self-taught musician. I've seen it mentioned also that Nick feels less inhibition as well as other qualities is due to this. My question, then, is this: *Does Nick feel that he could have gleaned anything from a formal training that would expand his musically creative arsenal?* Thanks for your time, - AL-Leigh -

I ASKED NICK AND HE SAID "Undoubetly there are massive benefits to formal training if that is what you wish to pursue. I rarely regret not having had any training myself because I find that it enables me to explore and discover new things. However, it would be nice to be able to play Rachmaninoff after breakfast..."
