HI ADAM. CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE REVEALED THE SECRET OF THE INTRODUCTION SOUND TO RIO. NICK IN FACT THREW SEVERAL SMALL METAL RODS ON TO THE STRINGS OF THE GRAND PIANO AT AIR STUDIOS WHERE THEY WERE RECORDING. THIS SOUND WAS THEN REVERSED TO CREATE THE SOUND ON THE RECORD.
