Duran Duran have shared two new reworks of their recent single ‘Free To Love’. The remixes come from Horse Meat Disco and DJ White Shadow. The double single is out today. It expands the sonic universe of the Nile Rodgers collaboration. Plus, it keeps the song’s message of freedom and connection intact.
Horse Meat Disco take the first remix. The London collective have spent two decades shaping queer club culture. Their sound leans on disco, italo, house and rare underground cuts. The rework turns ‘Free To Love’ into a glittering late-night anthem built for packed dancefloors and communal release.
“It has been an honour for us to remix the legendary Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers,” the group said.
DJ White Shadow handles the other half of the package, billed as the DJWS & THE DISCO_NECT Remix. The Grammy-winning producer is best known for helping shape Lady Gaga’s pop era. Now he brings that same cinematic touch here. His version pushes ‘Free To Love’ deeper into futuristic dancefloor territory.
“Duran Duran have always made music that feels both timeless and futuristic,” Paul Blair aka DJ White Shadow said. “‘Free To Love’ already had such a powerful energy and message, so remixing it was an easy yes for me. My goal was to honour the emotion of the original while giving it a new pulse for the dancefloor.”
The remix package follows the release of the original ‘Free To Love’. It continues a string of DD x Nile Rodgers collaborations. The partnership started more than four decades ago, with the remix of ‘The Reflex’.
Plus, the timing lines up with a major live moment. The band will headline BST Hyde Park on July 5, 2026, with Scissor Sisters supporting.
