I am not entirely sure how it came to pass that August 10th was deemed to be Duran Duran Appreciation Day… Maybe it was simply Morphic Resonance in distant fields of Sunflowers? Possibly a case of mistaken identity with a cult of fake bank robbers? Or maybe it was the result of recently deciphered text written in hieroglyphics, demanding that this day be recognised and celebrated thousands of years later?
Whatever the reason, and whoever conjured the thought, we always smile on this date because it allows us to realise how extraordinary our fans and supporters have been to the band.
We have had an inspiring journey through 2024 so far, playing shows in the US and Europe. It has been our great pleasure and joy to perform for those of you who joined us - and we are very much looking forward to resuming in October, when we will be playing a few special shows and celebrating Halloween in NYC at Madison Square Garden.
For today, thanks as ever and happy August 10th from me & DD!
