I’m currently writing to you from Nashville as I’m on tour in the US with Duran Duran. We’ve been away for a few weeks now and have just under a week left of this first US leg. It’s been going great and has really flown by… a sign of getting older. In fact, I’m another year older than the last time I wrote to you all - lol.
It’s been a good year with plenty of live performances with Duran and my band Uncovered The Electric Rock Experience.
A few Duran highlights for me include the Commonwealth Games performance in Birmingham, the Halloween show in Vegas, the NYE performance in New York but Duran Duran’s induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame was particularly special. There was a lot of love in the room and it was very exciting playing to all the amazing guests including: Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Dave Grohl, Lionel Richie, Lenny Kravitz, The Eurythmics, Eminem, Judas Priest, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crow among many others. Most of these artists were in the front row just a few feet from the stage watching intensely… it was a real thrill and an honour!
It’s also been a great year for Uncovered The Electric Rock Experience. We continue to build our fan base and continue to do public and private performances. It was a blast having Simon join us for 4 songs at a show last October... he helped raise the roof.
It’s been amazing watching my two children grow and to see how much they have changed over the last year. My son is in the middle of his A levels. I think it’s as an intense process for the parents, as it is for the child, steering them through this stage in their lives. Wishing him all the best. My 13 year old daughter just got the highest mark in her class in a maths exam… obviously proud, but not sure where she gets that talent from??
Bye for now, and wishing everyone a fantastic year ahead!
Love and peace,
