The UK Music Video Awards took place the Empire Leicester Square in Central London on the evening of November 8th. Nick and Simon were invited to present "Girl Panic!" video director Jonas Akerlund with the ICON award, one of the most prestigious, and anticipated, Awards given out that night. However, the fact that Nick and Simon were going to present it was a total surprise to Jonas, so they had to sneak in the back door and sit in the last row of the movie theatre to wait until it was their turn to come up to the Podium. It was a terrific surprise and Jonas was thrilled.

Afterwards, Jonas' producer threw a great party for him at Quo Vadis in Soho, which only Nick attended since Simon has recently returned from Japan and was jet-lagged. Jonas then flew to NY for another commercial shoot. The busy life of a top director...
