DURAN DURAN CANCEL NEXT THREE EUROPEAN SHOWS ON THEIR 'ALL YOU NEED IS NOW WORLD TOUR'

Helsinki, Moscow and St Petersburg shows lost

Following the postponement of the band's ALL YOU NEED IS NOW UK arena dates, that were scheduled to start almost four weeks ago (on May 18th), due to lead singer Simon Le Bon's vocal problems, the band members are now having to cancel the next three shows on their upcoming European tour, originally slated to take place on Saturday, June 18th in Helsinki, Tuesday 21st in Moscow and Thursday 23rd in St Petersburg. Le Bon has been advised by his medical team that he needs to continue to rest his voice in order to fully rehabilitate his vocal range and avoid further damage.

The band members are devastated to be losing additional shows while doctors work on a treatment plan for Le Bon that should see the group resume performing on July 14th, in Dublin. Duran Duran are hoping to rebook these shows later in the tour, but in the meantime, fans should obtain ticket refunds from the point of purchase.

The dates being cancelled are as follows:

Helsinki Kaisafest, Kaisaniemi Park June 18
Moscow Megasport June 21
St Petersburg New Arena June 23

Simon Le Bon said this morning "You have no idea how disappointed we all are at the news that we won't be starting the tour this weekend, as we always have such an incredible time in Russia and haven't been to Finland with this line-up since 1982. We have been holding on to the hope that I'd be able to perform in a couple of days, with some rehearsals beforehand, but I'm afraid the recovery process is slow and although I'm doing everything I can to speed things up, to a large extent it's out of my control and the doctors just don't want to risk any further set backs."
