Postcard from Hollywood (very small handwriting)
I don't really need to bang on about the shows; I'm sure that there's plenty of DD news online if you need to find out how its going.
Needless to say, I was very concerned about the state of my voice. When we started tnis US leg, I really felt that I was only about up to 85% full strength. Well now, with seven shows under our belts, I reckon I'm properly recovered, and it won't be long before I feel truly bulletproof.
Every show we played seemed better than the one before. Notably, our concert at The Joint in Las Vegas saw us break through to a new level - we're all feeling quite proud of each other.
I've been spending a lot of time in the fresh air. I've been walking up and down some of the canyons; Runyon Canyon to rub shoulders with the Tinseltown glitterati, and Bronson to really make my legs burn. You can spot me this afternoon; I'll be the sweating, out of breath Englishman with bright red face, trying to hum a reggae bass line to keep me going. I've also spent a lot of time by the pool, which is where I am now, under a sunshade with a big smile plastered across my mush.
It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it.
