If you danced to "Girls on Film" as the scandalous video played on MTV, had a crush on Simon Le Bon or John Taylor and ever uttered the words, "I think Pop Trash is the most underrated album of all time," you're probably a Duran Duran fan -- possibly bordering on obsessed?

Well, today is your day. At some point, someone decided that the sexy, rock pop band from the UK deserved a national holiday and August 10 was given the distinction of National Duran Duran Appreciation Day. So put on your blue eye shadow (boys, you too) and your neon spandex, play "Hungry Like the Wolf" on your dual cassette deck and get on down.

Those of you who are too young to know who Duran Duran is (or what it's like to watch music videos on MTV), catch up with the rest of us by checking out some of the old videos, especially "Rio" and for further '80s new wave education, make sure you also watch "Don't You Want Me" by Human League and "Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club.
