Hi everyone. It’s Jon here from Your Vegas, I hope you’re all well. The last few weeks have been very eventful for us and a lot of cool stuff has happened. We finished up our second US tour with The Bravery in Detroit at the end of April then embarked on a mammoth 2400 mile voyage to Vancouver to join Duran Duran on April 29 as support for their Red Carpet Massacre tour of North America. This was a very special day for us as not only was it the first time we had played in an arena but our debut album, A Town And Two Cities, also hit stores that very same day.

The day after the show at the Nokia Theatre in LA we taped our network television debut on Last Call With Carson Daly. We taped two songs, our first single ‘In My Head’ and ‘Troubled Times’, the latter is due to be aired at a later date. It was cool because we performed in front of a live studio audience so it had the feel of one of our live shows. The following day we were playing in Pheonix and after the show we grabbed some beers from the rider and all piled into one hotel room to watch ourselves on TV. If you missed it you can watch it on Youtube.

There has been so many highlights on this tour, Billy Corgan joining Duran Duran on stage in Chicago to name but one, but I think I speak for all my band mates when I say the two nights we did in Las Vegas stand out. I knew it was going be a special weekend when I arrived at sound check on the Friday and saw Brandon and Dave from The Killers rehearsing Planet Earth with the band. Another cool thing about the two days in Vegas was that we got a chance to hang out with and get to know a lot of Duran Duran fans. These people are amazing, so passionate about music and a lot of fun to hang out with. Your Vegas in Las Vegas is always a messy combo and certain members of my band will be forever indebted to the Duranies who found YV boys passed out in the Hard Rock Casino Hotel corridors and made sure they got home safely.

We would like to thank all of you who came down to a show early to catch our set. You were an awesome audience and we’ve loved meeting you all after the shows. Stay in touch and see you next time we’re in your town. We’d also like to thank all the crew, they all work so hard and have been so nice to us. And finally, a huge, huge thank you to Duran Duran for bringing us on this amazing tour of North America. It’s been an incredible experience for us and an absolute pleasure.

Take care and see you all soon,
Jon
