SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO TO ROLL OUT THE RED CARPET FOR BRITISH POP ICONS DURAN DURAN
Duran Duran featured throughout the month of November with exclusive programming including a three day take-over of a SIRIUS music channel and the premiere of the band’s new album “Red Carpet Massacre”
NEW YORK – November 9, 2007- To celebrate the upcoming release of Duran Duran’s latest album Red Carpet Massacre (November 13th), SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) will hand over control of its Super Shuffle channel to the influential British pop band. Duran Duran’s Red Carpet Radio will premiere on November 13th at 12 pm ET and feature shows hosted by band members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, and Roger Taylor.
Exclusive features on the channel include members of Duran Duran playing and discussing their all-time favorite albums, backstage memories from the band’s early years on the road, and punk and reggae specials hosted by the band.

In addition to the exclusive channel take-over, Duran Duran will also be featured on SIRIUS throughout the month of November. Kicking it all off, band members Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes will premiere Red Carpet Massacre with an exclusive track-by-track discussion on The Pulse channel 9 on November 8th at 9 am ET.
Other features throughout the month will include Glam As You Can, a one hour introspective during which members of Duran Duran discuss some of the glam bands that influenced their music the most, on First Wave channel 22. The band will also take the mic and play their favorite ‘80s tunes on Big 80s channel 8, each weekday beginning at 12 pm ET.
Red Carpet Massacre, scheduled to be released in the US on November 13th, is Duran Duran’s much anticipated new studio album featuring collaborations with Justin Timberlake and super producer Timbaland. The band are currently in New York in the middle of an unprecedented run of 10 concert dates at the famed Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway to celebrate the album’s debut.
