The band would like to congratulate Mr. Al Gore & the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change on winning the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their work to raise awareness about global warming.

Both Simon and John saw Mr. Gore's speaking engagement on Global Warming while they were on tour in Japan and all went on to see AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, the award winning documentary on the crisis.

After agreeing to perform at this summer's LIVE EARTH, John, Simon, Nick and Roger truly did take the message of Global Warming - and its devastating effects - to heart. They are thrilled that Mr. Gore's work in this area has been recognized.
