It is my favorite time of year; I love the smell of the air, the damp autumn evenings and the sound the leaves make when they crackle under my feet as I walk in the backyard. People start burning fires - regardless of the environment - and I love the smell.

Not only is the 5th of November coming - Remember, remember the Fifth of November,the Gunpowder Treason and Plot - it is also time for my birthday, 27th of October, Night of the Phoenix for me and my father, who I share a birth date with.

Thank you to all that have sent cards, presents and well wishes of a happy birthday. They always jolly up my life.

If you fancy it, buy yourself a drink, stand outside in the late October air, raise your glass and say "Fe Fi Fo Fum. I smell the blood of an Englishman."
