WESFEST DVD TO RAISE MONEY FOR WES WEHMILLER SCHOLARSHIP AT BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC

WesFest: A Concert to Benefit the Wes Wehmiller Scholarship at Berklee College Of Music, has been released on DVD, with all net proceeds to benefit the aforementioned Berklee College Of Music scholarship.
The fund is named in honor of former Duran Duran bassist Wes Wehmiller, a Berklee graduate ('92) and highly accomplished musician, athlete, and photographer who died of thyroid cancer in January, 2005. The Wes Wehmiller Scholarship is awarded annually to a continuing student at Berklee who best exemplifies the excellence and grace Wes showed as a bassist and as a human being.
The original WesFest event took place on February 16, 2006, at The Gig in Hollywood, CA, with eight bands performing live in a three-hours-plus concert. WesFest raised over $12,000. and served as the inaugural event for what will be an annual concert and fundraising drive for the scholarship.
The DVD runs about ninety minutes and contains live performances from all eight WesFest performers:
