Duran Duran address rumors via their MySpace page that they might collaborate with Justin Timberlake.
Duran Duran have addressed rumors of a collaboration with Justin Timberlake, explaining there's some truth to all the chatter. "We can confirm that ever since Justin presented the band with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Brits, they have all expressed an interest in working together," read a post on Duran Duran's MySpace page. "To that end, some of the band members met up with Justin recently in New York to discuss a possible collaboration." While no timeline was given as to when this partnership could form, it's clear that Duran Duran are doing their research: According to the post, the band are "currently listening" to JT's 2002 album, Justified.
In other Timberlake news, the singer scored his first No. 1 solo debut, as FutureSex/LoveSounds topped the Billboard 200 chart with about 684,000 copies sold. No other album even came close, although John Mayer's Continuum bowed at No. 2, with a very respectable sales tally of almost 300,000.
