Duran Duran will co-headline the 2006 Voodoo Music Experience alongside previously announced headliner the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The event will be held Oct. 28-29 at a New Orleans site to be announced.

Duran Duran is working on its second album since the reunion of its five original members. Writing last month on the band's Web site, bassist John Taylor described one new song as "a noisy one" and "quite aggressive in places. It's new territory for us."

The group is offering a discounted $25 pre-sale ticket for the Voodoo Music Experience via its Web site. The Chili Peppers are staging a similar promotion via Apple's iTunes Music Store for fans that purchased their new album, "Stadium Arcadium," via that outlet.

In addition, Voodoo organizers are offering a $300 "LOA pass" for the event, which offers a special main-stage viewing area and "in and out" privileges throughout the weekend.
