I was very sad to hear Bob Moog died. His pioneering work in developing the synthesizer had a truly profound effect on the direction of music. I have often marveled at the technology he created and however great the choice may be, I always find myself returning to Moog synthesizers. His understanding of sound sculpture and complex rich electronic tones was a lifetime ahead of what we all now take for granted.
The instruments are his legacy and will continue to fill our world with sound. In fact, every synthesizer that you hear on any song today has a little of Bob Moog in it. I will forever be grateful for his contribution to the synthesizer. It undoubtedly shaped my life - along with the future of music - in a way that few could ever imagine.
