LOS ANGELES, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 80 international music artists are uniting in extraordinary support for Live 8.

For three days -- July 2nd through 4th -- all lawn seats sold for more than 400 summer concerts in 42 Clear Channel Music Group amphitheatres will be just $18. The specially priced tickets include a donation to Live 8 and a white "ONE" wristband from Ticketmaster.

Supporters of musician Bob Geldof's one.org and the Long Walk to Justice wear white "ONE" wristbands as a show of solidarity against extreme poverty.

Artists participating in the $18 Ticket promotion include Coldplay, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Eminem / 50 Cent, John Mellencamp / John Fogerty, James Taylor, Alan Jackson, The Backstreet Boys, Duran Duran, Journey and Ozzfest, among others.

Tickets will be available starting July 2nd at 9am at venue box offices and through Ticketmaster at Ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone, and Ticketmaster retail ticket center locations. Ticketmaster convenience charges have been reduced for these specially priced tickets. Venue box offices will waive ticket charges. Quantities are limited.

Fans will receive their "ONE" wristband by mail courtesy of Ticketmaster following their purchase.

"This is a fitting way to prove to the leaders of the G8 that the demand for them to do the right thing at their July 6th meeting extends far beyond the artists who are playing the eight Live 8 concerts and the people who were able to attend or watch on television," said Geldof. "Our sincere thanks are with all the artists and Clear Channel Music Group who, through this remarkable gesture, are helping to tilt the world a little in favor of the poor."

"We are hoping more than 500,000 fans will participate and sign The One Declaration in the process," said Michael Rapino, global chairman of the Clear Channel Music Group. "Having more than 500,000 fans add their names and wear wristbands to concerts all summer long will help keep the awareness of this cause alive."

About Live 8

On July 2nd, Live 8 will comprise eight simultaneous, free concerts featuring more than 100 top international rock and pop artists. For 1 million spectators and 2 billion viewers globally via television and online, the Live 8 concerts have one message: to get 8 men in 1 room on July 6th to stop 30,000 children dying every single day of extreme poverty. The concerts will occur in the G8 countries, including the original LiveAid cities of London and Philadelphia as well as historic sites in Paris, Berlin, Rome, and Edinburgh. The event is organized by Sir Bob Geldof's one.org to support The Long March to Justice.
