Duran Duran are participating in an exciting new televised charity event for the BBC called THE GREAT BIG BID. The Great Bid, which benefits the charity CHILDREN IN NEED, will auction off a selection of unique and highly desirable prizes and feature them on a series of live shows on BBC1. The goal is to raise funds for the thousands of charities that benefit from CHILDREN IN NEED. Simon & Roger went on BBC 1 on November 16th to offer of this package :
STAR FOR A DAY
Duran Duran are offering you a very special package.
Two people will fly out in the afternoon from a private airport close to London (tbc) on a private plane with the band to Horsens in Denmark for their concert on
Friday, 9th December 2005.
You will travel with the band to the venue, where you will be given your own private dressing room backstage with your name on the door! You'll also receive a gift basket with lots of Duran Duran goodies such as albums, tour merchandise and a signed copy of the band's new live DVD 'Live from London'.
You'll also have an opportunity for autographs and photos with the band prior to the show, before watching them from the best seats in the house.
This show is the first of the final leg of the Astronaut world tour.
After the show you will stay overnight (9th December) in the same hotel in Horsens as the band.
The following day you'll be flown back to the UK on a commercial flight.
You will need to make your own way to and from the airport in the UK, and of course you mustn't forget to take a valid passport!
