"It's like Kraftwerk meets the Mamas and the Papas," says Duran Duran singer Simon LeBon, struggling to describe the reunited band's eleventh album. The five original members recently spent six weeks in London with Linkin Park producer Don Gilmore, only to bring in R&B hitmaker Dallas Austin for additional sessions. The new stuff ranges from rock ("We've got Andy Taylor doing actual guitar solos," says LeBon) to disco throwbacks ("Bedroom Toys", featuring Chic's Nile Rodgers) and electropop ("Still Breathing"). Of the likely first single, "Astronaut" LeBon says, "It's the same feeling as when Girls on Film came out. What did it sound like? Nothing you'd ever heard before."
