Pop legends Duran Duran could be set to enter the top 10 of the UK album charts tomorrow for the first time in a decade.
The stars of the Brits re-released their Greatest Hits album on Monday in anticipation of their Outstanding Contribution award.
Frontman Simon Le Bon and the band have not been seen in the top 10 since they released The Wedding Album in 1993, which featured smash hits like Ordinary World.
The band Le Bon, drummer Roger Taylor, guitarist Andy Taylor, bassist John Taylor, and keyboard player Nick Rhodes decided to re-form last year.
The band were one of the highlights of the Brits earlier this week performing Ordinary World, Hungry Like A Wolf and Wild Boys after receiving their gong from Justin Timberlake.
Retailers HMV said sales of the New Romantic bands Greatest Hits album had seen a four-fold increase at its stores the day after the event at Earls Court.
HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said: Ten years ago, whod have thought wed see Duran Duran become so popular again now?
It is amazing that after all this time they have come back, and with their new material on the way it looks as if they are going to be huge again.
Many people who derided these bands have come to realise just how great they were because they wrote their songs and played the instruments.
Now they are set for whole new career as a world class supergroup.
Glam rockers The Darkness could also re-enter the top ten when the chart is announced tomorrow.
Justin Hawkins band scooped three awards on Tuesday night for best Group, British Rock Act, and Album, and are currently at number 22.
The band narrowly missed out on the coveted Christmas Number One slot when their song Christmas Time (Dont Let The Bells End) lost out to Mad World by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules.
HMV said sales of their album, Permission to Land, increased by 485% at its stores the day after the rockers to the stage in flamboyant silver catsuits at the Brits.
Dido, who scooped best Female and best Single Awards, saw sales of her Life For Rent album increase by 90% compared to the day before the Brits.
