DURAN DURAN ADD SECOND WEMBLEY & BIRMINGHAM SHOWS DUE TO PHENOMENAL DEMAND

When tickets for DURAN DURAN’S first UK tour in eighteen years went on sale this morning (Friday 12th December) the box offices and telephone hotlines at London’s Wembley Arena, Glasgow’s SECC, Birmingham’s NEC Arena and the Manchester Evening News Arena were bombarded with calls, sending them into meltdown, as fans rushed to get tickets for the much anticipated shows, four months in advance!

Such was the phenomenal demand, that both London’s Wembley Arena and Birmingham’s NEC have added second dates – Londonon Wednesday 14th April and Birmingham on April 18 Tickets for these two additional shows arenow on sale.

These highly anticipated ‘Homecoming’ concerts will mark the first time that the original band members -SIMON LEBON, NICK RHODES, ROGER TAYLOR, JOHN TAYLOR and ANDY TAYLOR - have toured the UK together since they performed at Live Aid in 1985.

The six dates in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, will launch the band’s 2004 World Tour , just prior to the release of their new album.

The tour dates confirmed so far are:

LONDON - WEMBLEY ARENA - Tuesday April 13th

LONDON - WEMBLEY ARENA - Wednesday April 14th

GLASGOW - SECC - Thursday April 15th

MANCHESTER EVEning NEWS ARENA - Saturday April 17th

Birmingham - NEC Arena – Sunday April 18th

BIRMINGHAM - NEC ARENA - Monday April 19th
