Duran Duran are back from the Dominican Republic, finishing up a fast paced five week tour of America.

The band had a wonderful time in La Romana, and got to experience a lot of the local culture. The band played an extra long set, reflecting the fact that Duran Duran had never been to the country before. The venue was a beautiful outdoor Roman Amphitheatre, opened in 1983 by Frank Sinatra. Very few acts have played there since, but the guys all agreed that it is an incredible venue which other artists should consider playing. The sold-out crowd were thrilled to have an act like Duran Duran playing in their country and showed their appreciation by going crazy from the time the lights dimmed. The Promoter of the concert, Pedro Garcia, was a long time fan whose dream was to have the band play in the Dominican Republic.
